MLK Day Hot Lunch (Parish Event)
January 19, 2009 11:00 AM
The Brown Bag Program is serving a sit-down soup lunch for our clients on January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King’s Birthday.
You can help!
- Sunday, January 18th/ Calling all sous chefs: Come chop with us in the Undercroft following the eleven o’clock service. Bring your favorite knife and vegetable peeler and help us chop veggies! We will be preparing hearty soups for our Brown Bag clients.
- Monday, January 19th/ Calling all hosts, bakers and servers: Join us for this wonderful opportunity to meet and greet some of our clients and see your dollars at work. You can help in a variety of ways; preparing and serving the soup, provide desserts such as cookies, brownies, blondies, etc, or help us with the clean up afterwards. We also need rolls or breads and would appreciate any donations along those lines.
Help us to prepare better by signing up on the Undercroft bulletin board. If you are not able to come on either day and still want to participate, you can bring baked goods to the church before that weekend and we’ll freeze them so they are fresh when we distribute them on Monday the 19th beginning at 11:00 am..
