It is our goal to provide children with skills that will push them beyond traditional learning and promote dynamic thinking that results in children who don’t want to just know that something happens; they want to know how it happens, why it happens and when they can apply it and experience it for themselves. Our children are encouraged to develop curiosity, to hypothesize, the think reflectively, to find multiple ways of solving a problem and to formulate questions when they encounter new information. Emphasis is placed on the process of exploration over the product. In addition to the more “academic” skills, social and emotional development is stressed. We work to develop compassionate, empathetic and thoughtful citizens who understand that they are part of many communities. We are not only preparing children to move on to Kindergarten, we are preparing passionate life-long learners.
