Rector’s Summer Book & Breakfast

Sunday, 9:30 to 10:30 in the undercroft ~ Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church by Rachel Held Evans

Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church, by Rachel Held Evans.

This broadly acclaimed best-selling author began her Christian journey as a Southern evangelical and eventually identified with the Episcopal Church before tragically dying last May from sudden medical problems. She was 37 years old.

In Searching for Sunday, using the framework of the seven sacraments, Evans shares stories about the power of community, the mystery of grace, and overcoming cynicism to find hope. It is a candid and yet loving look at where church fits into our lives.

The book is widely available from booksellers. Contact the rector if you would like help getting the book (212-787-2755).

Continental Breakfast will complement our discussions. This is a discussion, not a lecture. Come and share your thoughts.
